The ribbon
Ribbon is the number one new element in Microsoft Office 2010. Microsoft Office 2010 not only keeps the Ribbon but it has now been added to all the Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft OneNote. The Microsoft Office 2010 implementation is done right in case of the ribbon. The difference is that now you have control over your Ribbon and those items that come into view on its tabs, and you can even add tabs of your own and put your favorite commands on there. The users will never have to worry again regarding this matter because a it is possible in Microsoft Outlook 2010 in simple steps.
Conversation View
The Conversation View in Microsoft Outlook 2010 is changed. The Conversation View provides a threaded view of e-mail messages in a Microsoft Outlook folder, and in Microsoft Outlook 2010 it is accessed by clicking 'View', then 'Conversation', and then 'Show Messages' in Conversations. The enhanced Conversation view in this helps the users to deal with larger volumes of incoming e-mail, reduces information overload, and increases the user’s productivity in e-mail.
When users add a new account in Microsoft Outlook 2010, the automatic configuration of a Webmail account will set the account type to IMAP by default for IMAP-supported Webmail accounts like Google Gmail. The users can change the account type to POP3 by choosing the 'Manually configure server settings' option in the 'Add New Account' dialog box. The Delete and Send operations for IMAP accounts are also better. IMAP accounts hold a separate Deleted Items folder. Above all, it does not prompt for a Sent Items folder, as Microsoft Outlook 2007 did.
