Configuring Microsoft Outlook Express
In Microsoft Outlook Express from the Tools menu select Account Settings. In the email tab click New. Then you need to select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click Next. Then select Manually configures server settings or additional server types and click Next. You have to select Internet Email and click Next. After that you need to enter all requested information like your name, email address, account type, incoming mail server, outgoing mail server etc. Then choose one user name and password. Then click Test Account Settings to verify that all are configured correctly. Then click Next and click Finish.
In configuration there might be connection issues. If such issue exists you could solve it easily. Simply launch a Web browser to see if the computer is working online. Then connect to several sites, as your homepage might still be displayed onscreen because it is stored in your browser's cache. If there is no connection, then you need to power down the modem (cable or DSL) and router (if you have one) and wait 45 seconds and power on the modem. Then power on again. This would remove connection issues.
There might be ISP issues while configuring. Then you need to call the email provider to see if there is any issue. If there are try to solve that also. Other factor that you consider is that if you have multiple computers, you need to check whether the other computers are in offline mode. If so you would not receive (and removing) your email messages from the server.
