How to delete a PivotTable or PivotChart report in Microsoft Excel 2010 on Windows XP
For all those who are into regular data analysis spreadsheets work the best. They are one of the most comprehensive tools that help you to standardize the data and present it with great clarity and precision. There are many features in Microsoft Excel 2010 that further help you work with the data. One such most commonly used feature is the PivotTable. It makes it very easy to deal with the most complex calculations by presenting the results in a separate table. While it is a great way to revisit your calculations and larger data, at times you may just want to share the larger data or the main spreadsheet. In this case you are required to delink your PivotTable. You do not need a professional hand to help you do this but you surely need to exercise a lot of caution as even after you delink the PivotTable, the Pivot report may stay intact. Let us see how we can delete a PivotTable completely while working on a Windows XP PC.
FOR DELETING A PIVOTTABLE REPORT
1. Click the PivotTable report.
2. Click on the “Options” tab, in the “Actions” group, click “Select”, and then click “Entire PivotTable”.
3. Press “DELETE”.
