How to delete a PivotTable or PivotChart report in Microsoft Excel 2010 on Windows 7
Data is one of the most critical elements of any organizational process across functions. Be it the financial data, one related to human resources or asset management, every function requires it in one form or the other. However, this complex data needs to be broken to draw quick analysis. One of the easiest ways to put your calculations together is by using a PivotTable, which reflects the data in an adjoining table. While this can be a great personal reference, you may not like to share it in order to ensure exclusivity or privacy of your content. Well, you can do that simply by deleting the PivotTable. However, this may not necessarily delete your PivotTable report. So you need to take some added steps and exercise caution to ensure that the PivotTable is deleted from the main data in any case. Follow a few quick steps while working on your Windows 7 PC:
FOR DELETING A PIVOTTABLE REPORT
1. Click the PivotTable report.
2. Click on the “Options” tab, in the “Actions” group, click “Select”, and then click “Entire PivotTable”.
3. Press “DELETE”.
FOR DELETING A PIVOTCHART REPORT
1. Select the PivotChart report.
2. Press “DELETE”.
