The operating system giant, Microsoft is always coming up with new advancements for their clientele which also makes the users yearn for a new launch every passing day. After the huge success of Windows 7, users are eagerly waiting for the launch of its successor, Windows 8, the most talked about OS these days. Although there are numerous speculations involved with this as well, yet it is expected that Windows 8 will be better than its ancestral versions.
One of the features of Windows 8 that has created a hype is the Metro user interface, which is already available on Windows enabled phones. This is an ideal interface for touch screen devices and is said to be a next-gen user interface. Users can carry out operations on Metro and standard desktop simultaneously.
"By now you've seen two different elements of the Windows 8 design—first, a Metro style user interface we showed previously and in a video seen by millions of folks. And recently, we have described in this blog some of the enhancements we’re making to familiar Windows desktop tools such as Explorer and the copy file dialog," wrote Sinofsky, Microsoft Windows president.
The interface is fully app-centric and extremely fast. The prime motive of Microsoft is to give its users an interface which is perfect and free of glitches. It should completely transform Windows. The Metro-style desktop user interface is beautiful and immersive. It is already luring the other PC users to switch to Windows 8.
