You can download Microsoft Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 from TechNet and MSDN if you are subscribed to them. At present, there are two downloads available at each site: 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) versions of the Professional Plus Retail edition. To download Microsoft Office 2010, there is a single product key available for subscribers of each service. For normal business use, installing the 32-bit version is the best bet. If you are working on very large excel files, then use the 64-bit version.
New features of Microsoft Office 2010
With Microsoft Office 2010, the free online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote will be made available. The new edition of Microsoft Office, Office Starter 2010, will replace Microsoft Works, the low-end home productivity software. Social Connector is a new feature in Microsoft Office 2010. Office 2010 is more 'role-based' than the previous version, ie, Office 2007. Some other features include:
