The ability to convert Excel files to PDF (Portable Document Format) is one of the newest features of Microsoft Excel 2010. What is a PDF file? A PDF file allows others to view documents without needing the original program like Excel installed on their computer. Instead, you can open the file with a free PDF reader program.
And most importantly, a PDF file also allows you to let others view your data accumulated in a spreadsheet, without giving them the opportunity to change it.
There are several methods of converting Excel files to PDF format in Excel 2010. In the steps given below, we will look at using the Save and send option available under the File tab of the ribbon. Here’s how the steps go:
In your Excel file, go to the ‘File’ menu and then select ‘Save As’ option
Navigate to the location where you want to save the file and then from the ‘Save as type drop-down menu’, select the ‘PDF’ option
Type a filename into the ‘File name’ area and click ‘Save’ to save the file in ‘PDF format’.
See, wasn’t the process easy and simple to follow and apply on your Microsoft Excel 2010 spreadsheet. You can further simplify the solution steps through our video solution which is posted below. You just need to click the play option given in the below window to watch the video.
