If you didn’t know already, you can publish your blog posts directly from Microsoft Word 2010. For bloggers around the world, this is great news. This feature makes sure that you don’t have to open the browser, enter your login credentials to access the dashboard, and then paste the content and publish it. You can directly hit publish from the application Microsoft Word 2010 which will save a lot of time.
Most of the people write their blog posts on Microsoft Word and then copy paste the content and then paste it on their blogs to publish it. Now with this feature, you need not copy paste the content and then publish it, you can directly publish it from the application Microsoft Word 2010. Now let’s see how you can use Microsoft Word 2010 as a blogging tool to make things easy for you.
Blogging tool in disguise
This is something that skips most of us. When you open or create a new document, we usually start with a blank document, right? Half of us will actually use the shortcut to open a new document ‘Ctrl + N’ and this is where we do not see the options that we have. If you click ‘File’ and ‘New’ to create a new document, you will realize that we have options to use the templates that’ll allow us to use Microsoft Word 2010 as a blogging tool. When you click ‘File’ and then click ‘New’, you are shown the template for the blog post which is ‘New Blog post’. If you select that option, you will be asked to register your blog account.
Registration of your blog
So here’s how you need to register your blog on Microsoft Word 2010. When you click ‘New Blog post’ a small window will pop up on your screen. You need to click the ‘Register Now’ button to start the process. Once you click the ‘Register Now’ button another window will pop up on the screen. You need to choose the blog provider from the existing list. This list is pretty small and only has the names of major blogging services. After choosing the blog provider from the list, you need to click ‘Next’. This will take you to another window where you need to type the URL of your blog and then the username and password for your blog.
Once you provide Microsoft Word 2010 with the login details of your blog, a new template would be opened on Microsoft Word 2010 from where you can start writing your blog post. You would see a line on the top of the document and that’s where the title of your blog post should be. You can format the story the way you want it. Once you finish the story, you need to hit ‘Publish’ button which can be found on the Ribbon. That’s it, that’s all you need to do to publish your blog posts directly from Microsoft Word 2010. Isn’t that an easy job? This is how Microsoft Word 2010 makes your life easy.
