Changing Gmail settings
You need to create an account on Gmail and once you are in, go to the ‘Settings’ menu in the Gmail browser. From there select the ‘POP/ IMOP’ link. A new webpage will open up with different options. You have to enable the ‘Forwarding’ option of IMAP. Just click the ‘Save Changes’ button.
Now you need to enable the settings in Outlook 2010 too. You have to launch the Outlook from ‘Start’ menu and then click tab named ‘All Programs’. Then open Microsoft Office 2010 and click on Outlook. You need to go to the settings and select ‘Tools’ and then ‘Account Settings’. In ‘Account Settings’, open the tab named ‘Microsoft Exchange Server’. In the tab you need to give your details about Gmail account, your name, etc.
Then apply the settings to ‘POP3’, ‘Http’ and ‘IMAP’ options and select ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page. Now you have to check the ‘STMP’ option box and enabling it to complete the process. Save this final step and close Outlook 2010. Restart your operating system and reopen the program Microsoft Office Outlook 2010. Now you are configured and enabled to use the Gmail with Outlook 2010.
