Create your own wallpaper with Word 2010

To most of them this application is one of the most powerful word processor ever. To the ones who are creative, it is lot more than that. Why would you want to use this application to only write and edit your documents when you can do lot more than just that? Did you know that you can use this application to create wallpapers? Yes, you can actually create wallpaper for your desktop using Microsoft Word 2010.
No, we are not talking about full-fledged wallpaper; simple wallpaper with personalized text and a picture to start with. That would be easy for you to do, right? You might have pictures of your friends and family that you would like to have on display as wallpaper, no you can add text to it and make it look a little better with just one application, Microsoft Word 2010. So here’s how you can do that. Open a new document in Word 2010 and change the orientation of the page to Landscape. You would find that option in the ‘Page Layout’ tab on the Ribbon. The reason why you should change the orientation of the page is for it to be suitable for you screen. Then you can write down the text that you want on the document.
Once you’re written your text on the document, you can change the font of the text that would go well with a picture that you want as the desktop wallpaper. Once you pick your fonts, you need to add picture to your document. After you place the picture, you can change the size to fill the document by dragging it from the corners. Once you change the size of the picture, you need to send the picture to the background so that your text would be visible on the picture and here’s how it’s done. This feature is called Text Wrapping and you can find this option once you right clikc on the image or the picture that you’ve just inserted in the document. Once you right click, select the option ‘Wrap Text’ and then select the option ‘Behind Text’. You can adjust the transperancy of the text to make it look integrated with the image. And your walpaper is ready. Now you use this document as a wallpaper from the control panel!
